Our founder had the foresight to develop this company into a distinguished service success with the longevity of over 56 years in the hot water heater business.

Utilizing modern, cutting-edge product knowledge and state-of-the-art water heater training for our technicians, we continue to maintain the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction. Founder’s Story

It was 1968 when our founder noticed that there were no companies “out there” that specialized in working on water heaters. That is when the first idea of Water Heaters Only, Inc began. At the time, the only water heater services were Sears, local plumbers, or your ‘Uncle Joe’ that came to mind right after you noticed a puddle under your leaking water heater tank.

Our owner, who had previously subcontracted for Sears, thought that they not only had poor service but also offered only their brand of water heater. Plumbers tended to charge an “arm and a leg” and weren’t famous for great service in general. As far “Uncle Joe”, he would always want a favor in return and might put the pressure relief valve on the cold-water inlet.

His company technicians would be given trucks that would fit their needs; there would be no tangle of sewer cables, but they would have every conceivable part that a person could require to install or repair a water heater perfectly.

Another component to the developing company was the creation of an Emergency Shutdown Instruction Sticker that would eventually be direct mailed to millions of homes. This self-adhesive sticker was designed to assist homeowners in shutting down and draining their heaters to avoid damage to their homes from water or gas leakage and as a means of connecting to our services. Coupled with superior customer service, this useful sticker helped to grow the Water Heaters Only, Inc. business market.
